Head Trainer,

Teal Pedersen-Grippo

For Teal Pedersen, horses have never been a hobby—they have been a way of life.

Raised in one of the nation’s most accomplished Thoroughbred racing stables, Teal grew up alongside her mother, Jennifer Pedersen, whose career included training a Kentucky Derby starter, three Preakness Stakes starters, a Belmont Stakes starter, and numerous graded stakes competitors. From an early age, Teal was immersed in the daily management of elite equine athletes, learning that championship performances are built through exceptional care, meticulous preparation, and an unwavering commitment to the horse’s physical and mental well-being.

As a junior, Teal competed successfully on the hunter/jumper “A” circuit before continuing her equestrian career as a member of the Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA) team at Morrisville State College. Winning numerous Championship titles and athlete of the week. Competing on unfamiliar horses strengthened her adaptability, feel, and ability to quickly develop trust and communication with each individual horse—skills that continue to define her training program.

Happy Clients

Working in a top-level racing environment, she learned that successful horses are developed long before they reach the show ring. Her foundation includes conditioning, nutrition, soundness, rehabilitation, and the daily attention to detail required to maintain equine athletes at peak performance. She also developed a sharp eye for subtle changes in behavior and movement, understanding that consistency and longevity come from meticulous care, not talent alone.

This background shapes her approach to the hunter/jumper sport. Teal blends the discipline and horsemanship of the racing world with the precision and patience required to develop show horses. She believes every horse is an individual, and that success is built through thoughtful management, correct training, and a strong commitment to both physical and mental well-being.

Today, Teal continues to campaign hunters and jumpers with the same philosophy she was raised on: exceptional care produces exceptional performance. Her focus is not only on results, but on developing each horse to its fullest potential through sound horsemanship and dedicated, individualized care.
